Youth Program & Student Support

When the mind is engaged and the spirit lifted, the body can stay stronger, too. African Medical Mission is giving young people at Itipini opportunities to keep hopeful and active with its youth program, serving all school age children.

The youth choir, supplying the soccer team with uniforms, and providing recreational equipment are just a few of the activities going on with the Youth Program.

When children return to Itipini after school, they now have options besides going back to an empty house or going back into town where few good choices are available.

AMM supports more and more students every year. In 2009, there are 127 students enrolled in secondary school. AMM supports the these students by paying school fees and purchasing school supplies like books, pens and paper.

The Itipini Primary School, just minutes from the Community Clinic, was in desperate need of desks and chairs for their students. AMM recently supplied those for grades 1-3, the long-term plans are to supply them for every grade.
